Responsibilities:
Working mostly on your own, you will be responsible for keeping our yard clean and organized, in turn helping keep our teams more efficient in their daily duties.
Requirements:
Skills to perform the duties listed below
Enjoy proactively solving problems and identifying alternative solutions
Ability to efficiently organize, prioritize and work independently
Safely operate equipment; skid steer, mini-excavator, truck and trailer
A valid BC Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
Physically fit enough to perform your daily duties
Maintenance, Repairs and Deliveries:
- Work independently
- Work strategically to perform tasks safely, efficiently and effectively
- Work with urgency and purpose
- Maintain the compost piles
- Control weeds around the Creative Roots Yard
- Ensure all garbage and unwanted debris is cleaned up
- Keep tools, materials, storage and nursery organized
- Keep nursery watered
- Undertake small repairs and maintenance on irrigation, fences, shop, nursery, etc
- Provide information, reports and suggestions
- Maintain trees, shrubs and irrigation ditch around the yard
- Deliveries of materials to and from our work sites

Total compensation:
All of this responsibility comes with a great compensation package that includes an additional stake in our Profit Share Plan along with a benefits package.
You can expect:20 – 30 hours per week. More hours may be possible depending upon how many tasks you take on. Seasonal. Approximately March 1 – December 23 (weather dependent).
Competitive wages based on value and attitude you bring to the company. Typically $22 – $25 for this position. Paid overtime, profit sharing, extended health benefits and potential for advancement including partnership.
